In their last season in the Big 12 Conference, Texas Football enjoyed an incredible autumn campaign. They nearly qualified for the National Championship game against the Michigan Wolverines after winning the Big 12 Championship.
In order to address the holes left by the loss of key players to the NFL Draft, the Longhorns will need to start recruiting in 2025. The Longhorns should concentrate on these top 2025 prospects this summer.
One of Texas’ best wide receivers in the class of 2025 is Lockett. The Longhorns need to add some depth to their lineup behind guys like Isiah Bond, Silas Bolden, and Matthew Golden after losing Xavier Worthy and Adoni Mitchell to the NFL Draft.
Every year following the season, college football players use the transfer portal, therefore the Longhorns may need to use Lockett as an offensive weapon for Arch Manning. If they directed a portion of their recruitment efforts into an offensive tool for Arch Manning, that would be beneficial.
