” I KNOW MY WORTH” Amon-Ra St. Brown Rejects $120 million contract extension, threatening to leave if contract is not properly

Antwaan Randle El, the wide receivers coach for the Lions, was a longtime NFL player. He has observed several well-known wide receivers over his career, both as competitors and colleagues, and how receiving large salaries has affected them.

He is now mentoring Amon-Ra St. Brown, one of them. With his contract extension this offseason, the Lions All-Pro became the highest-paid wide receiver in NFL history. Randle El hasn’t observed St. Brown succumb to any of the pitfalls that sometimes befall wide receivers once they acquire a large salary.

Randle El seems quite certain that none of those bad things would occur with St. Brown in Detroit when he spoke with reporters this week at OTAs.

Randle El observed of St. Brown, “Cats get complacent and you don’t see it in him.” “I don’t think you will see it in him; you haven’t noticed it in him yet. Thus, I believe he’s at a good place and will keep going forward.

Randle El went into further detail on his reasons for not being concerned that the money would end up in St. Brown’s pocket.

“The issue that I bring up to him on a regular basis is that players who sign these large contracts frequently and in many different ways end up disappearing. He is not like those men at all. It’s encouraging to see that his work ethic and manner of arriving and getting ready haven’t altered.
