Congratulation:BCCI have just announce Gautam Gambhir as the new head coach in place of Gautam Gambhir

Gautam Gambhir, a former opener for India, is expected to succeed Rahul Dravid as Team India’s

next head coach. Dravid is now playing in his final tournament with the Indian cricket team, the T20

World Cup 2024 in the USA and the West Indies. His contract was extended following the ODI

World Cup last year.

Dainik Jagran claims that the BCCI focused on Gambhir on Thursday and would formally make the

announcement at the conclusion of this week. According to the article, the former Indian opener will

choose his batting coach, bowling coach, and fielding coach, among other support staff members.

At the moment, T Dilip is the fielding coach, Paras Mhambrey is the bowling coach, and Vikram

Rathour is the batting coach for Dravid. Rathour joined the squad during Ravi Shastri’s stint, taking

Sanjay Bangar’s place. Dravid himself chose Mhambrey and Dilip as the other two.

IPL mentor to India head coach

Despite not having coaching experience in the past, Gambhir has served as a mentor for a few IP

franchises. He rejoined the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) after two years with the Lucknow Super

Giants (LSG), and last month he led the team captained by Shreyas Iyer to their third championship

victory.

Gambhir would have to resign from his position as KKR coach after serving as the team’s Indian coach for three years.

Too many names in the fray

But one by one, all of these well-known figures vanished from view. While Langer and Flower made it obvious that they were not interested in the position, for a variety of reasons, Langer chose not to accept the offer when LSG skipper KL Rahul advised him against it due to the pressure and politics involved. Flower stated that the RCB remained his primary focus at the same moment. Sangakkara was in a similar situation.
