NFL Insider Alerts NFL Concerning One Important Lamar Jackson Tool Against Baltimore Ravens

Rashod Bateman, a wide receiver, hasn’t been playing at full capacity for a while. But he is expected to return to full

strength for the 2017 campaign, when he will be ready to support Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens as they

pursue a championship.

The Baltimore Ravens selected Bateman in the first round of the 2021 draft, making him the first Minnesota Golden Gopher chosen in that order since 2006. Despite receiving a $12.6 million rookie contract, he had groin surgery, which postponed his debut. In Week 14, he made his NFL debut. In Week 16, he scored his first touchdown and had his first game over 100 yards.

Bateman became a full-time starter in 2022 when Marquise Brown was traded. Against the Dolphins, he demonstrated his big-play potential with a 75-yard touchdown catch. But he only played in six games due to a foot injury that shortened his season and necessitated surgery. With at least one catch in all but two games in 2023, Bateman made a full recovery. He caught four passes for 54 yards in a rout of the Dolphins, which was his greatest performance. He was able to extend his contract with Baltimore through the 2026 season, for a total of $15 million over three years.

Bateman has amassed 1,167 yards and a 61.2 grab percentage in his three seasons as a player in Baltimore. He also has a 52.6 percent receiving success rate. In addition, he recorded four receiving touchdowns, 152 pass targets, and 93 receptions.
