Breaking News:£6 million gain for Rangers as attacker returns to Training Center

It is reasonable to argue that there was a noticeable absence of significant players with large salaries and in particular parts of the team.

To get the Rangers team ready for the rigors of a full season, Philippe Clement has committed to overhauling the team’s medical department and putting them through a rigorous preseason regimen.

Rangers will likely have a significant amount of turnover in the upcoming weeks, so new players won’t have much time to establish themselves.

However, the revelation that a player worth £6 million is gradually regaining health following a terrible debut season at Ibrox gives supporters hope.

Major Danilo injury update

Danilo, a Brazilian striker, was the standout acquisition made by Rangers during the summer transfer window.

Under Michael Beale, Rangers spent almost £21 million on nine new players, with Cyriel Dessers, Sam Lammers, Jose Cifuentes, and former Feyenoord attacker Danilo fetching the highest salaries.

The shock of Alfredo Morelos’s departure was initially lessened by the rumored £6 million agreement to recruit Danilo, with the Brazilian expected to replace the Colombian in the starting lineup. However, Danilo’s originally promising start to life at Rangers was severely hampered by injury.

Danilo, who scored twice in five games (one start) at the start of the Premiership season, broke his face when netting against St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park.

A few weeks after returning to action wearing a mask, the striker scored goals against Hearts and Dundee before suffering a knee injury against the Jambos at Ibrox that terminated his season in early December.

As he has been for a few times already, Rangers boss Philippe Clement was not amused by the way the striker had been treated prior to the issue.
