Police say two people were detained during the Boston Celtics Championship parade.

While on patrol during the city’s Celtics Championship parade, which drew thousands of spectators to the downtown area, Boston police

made two arrests.

According to the department’s police report, at approximately 11 a.m. on Friday, a man reportedly climbed a city light post, which is

approximately 20 feet high, and stood on the banner holder stick.

The man was urged to get down from the post by several policemen “for his safety and the safety of others in the crowd,” but he refused,

shaking his head, according to the police. After that, the man leaped down the pole and broke the banner holder off of the pole as the

officers climbed over the barrier. Police then threatened to arrest the man if he tried to climb the pole once more.

The same man, according to other cops on the parade route, was seen climbing a different light pole on Tremont Street, which is the street

across from West Street. Thirty minutes or so later, he scaled the light pole once more.

When the individual was requested to safely descend by the cops, he once more refused. As soon as he landed, he “attempted to flee into the crowd,” according to the police report, at which point an officer caught him.

According to Boston police, the individual was taken into custody and charged with both disorderly conduct and property vandalism. When he was taken to the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department, investigators believed he was drunk.

According to the complaint, an officer witnessed many ladies fighting in front of the Boston Public Library on Friday at around 2:00 p.m.

As the gathering departed, one woman was apprehended by police After returning to the scene to get her handbag, one of the participants informed the officer that she had a “beef” with the woman who had been detained at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth four years prior. She continued by saying that the woman had “started trash talking” when she had seen her earlier in the day, after an officer had separated them and instructed them to part ways.

She claimed that when they ran into each other again later that day, she was “jumped,” according to the police.

Her forehead and nose had obvious scratches. When the woman was taken to District D4 for booking, the police also discovered those similar markings on her. The lady the police detained faces charges of assault, violence, and affray.
