Cowboys High Court According to reports, Mike McCarthy and Jerry Jones “Fed Up”

Jerry Jones’s handling of his key players’ contracts has drawn a lot of criticism on the Dallas Cowboys.

The team is apparently “nowhere near” extending wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, edge rusher Micah Parsons, and quarterback Dak Prescott,

who have not yet received any kind of extension.

Further complicating matters, it has been reported that head coach Mike McCarthy is “fed up” with Jones’ continual undermining of him.

Rich Eisen, a longtime NFL insider, mentioned the article and provided additional background.A former Cowboys personnel executive

made the following statement on McCarthy and Jones’ relationship: “It is crazy what’s going on, and it doesn’t ever really change,”

according to Eisen’s comments from the report.

Mike McCarthy is trying his hardest. According to some of the people I’ve spoken to, he’s becoming “a little fed up with it”.

The quote, according to Eisen, is undoubtedly the “juicy” component of the narrative and is essentially hearsay. But he also says, “Can you

blame him?” if the claim is accurate and McCarthy is growing irritated.

McCarthy’s logical source of frustration, according to Eisen, was having to go home and tell his family that he had no idea what would happen to him the following year.

Similar to the Cowboys’ top players, Jones has not extended the contracts of McCarthy’s majority of McCarthy’s staff members or his head coach.

When Jones was asked in April if the team would consider extending players like Prescott and Lamb, he responded in a noncommittal and uninspiring manner. According to Jones, “We’d like to see more leaves fall.”
Considering how successful Prescott, Lamb, Parsons, and McCarthy have all been in their respective fields, this is a perplexing statement.

Prescott scored 36 touchdowns, which lead the NFL. In addition, he finished third among all quarterbacks with 4,516 yards. With 1,749 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns, Lamb trailed league leader Tyreek Hill by 50 yards and one touchdown.

The Cowboys have three straight 12-5 seasons under McCarthy’s direction. Despite not having reached the Super Bowl, the team’s three consecutive postseason trips can be considered a success.

If this information is accurate, it will also help to clear up the misunderstanding that many pundits have expressed regarding Jones’ willful neglect of improving the team throughout the winter. The Cowboys barely tried to sign some of the more well-known free agents. The organization could have worked to strengthen its roster to contend for a Super Bowl berth once more, but cap space is always something to take into account.

Jones’s continued adoption of a “wait and see” approach to ownership may come back to haunt him in the upcoming season. As he approaches his unrestricted free agency status, Prescott may decide against accepting a contract extension in favor of joining a team that places a higher value on him.

Lamb hasn’t turned up for minicamp or OTAs either, which has many thinking he won’t attend training camp until he gets a good deal. Jones may have to take action to make sure he at least retains his three best players and his successful head coach on staff.
