GM of the Houston Texans Nick Caserio stated that he is not interested in extending Stefon Diggs’ deal since someone else has taken his place.

On April 3, the Houston Texans acquired Stefon Diggs, propelling the team into the title hunt.

The four-time Pro Bowler was acquired by Houston in return for a 2024 sixth-round selection, a

2025 fifth-round pick, and the Buffalo Bills’ 2025 second-round pick (via the Minnesota Vikings).

With three years remaining on his contract, Diggs seemed destined to become a part of the Texans’

illustrious position group, which also includes DeAndre Hopkins and Hall of Famer Andre Johnson.

However, the Texans revoked the last three years of his contract just a day after he arrived. After the

2024 season concludes, Diggs could be done in Houston as a result of the decision.

When training camp starts on July 18, Diggs’ impending free agency may become a subplot. In the

most recent episode of Locked On Texans, Coty M. Davis and John Hickman talk about the most

important elements that will decide whether or not Diggs re-signs with the team after the 2019–20

season.”I’ve been chasing the Super Bowl since I got in the league,” Diggs stated. Saying something

like, “This is where I want to try to win it, but this is where I’m at right now,” when you arrive at a

certain location.

“I have faith in this group and in C.J. Stroud, the quarterback. We may all presume those are unsaid

things. I came here to win, and I did just that in the first game. Of course, going forward, you want a

ring. Being able to claim a Super Bowl victory and a ring may seem nice, but it requires a lot of work

and perseverance. I always have the goal of winning at the forefront of whatever I do. It’s just one

item at  a time, rather than jumping the gun. I don’t put the carrot before the horse.”
