Breaking News : LeBron James Reveals Surprising Post-Retirement Intentions

Naturally, LeBron James has started to consider his life after the NBA as he approaches his age 40 season. James has signed a two-year contract this summer that includes a player option for the following year. At best, he will have a few more years in the NBA. As a result, he has started talking about his post-retirement intentions.

In an interview with TODAY, James talked to Craig Melvin about his impending retirement and his legacy following.

Hearing from a man who has been the biggest basketball legend of the past 20 years is intriguing. Is there really anything else that someone who has been associated with the NBA for more than 20 years is renowned for?

James is certain of it. He wants to have a greater global influence and become more significant than just a basketball player.

He will presumably be involved in a lot of different non-basketball activities. However, he has previously made clear his intentions to own an NBA team one day. For someone as competitive and ambitious as LeBron, it will be hard to turn down an opportunity like that, regardless of how much he wants to build a non-basketball legacy.
