Caitlin Clark Sends Three-Word Message to Kate Martin After Iowa Teammate’s Appearance
On Sunday afternoon, the Indiana Fever overcame the Minnesota Lynx with a grueling 81-74 triumph. Despite not
having her finest game—shooting only 5/17 from the field—star rookie Caitlin Clark still managed to finish with 17
points, six assists, and three rebounds.
Indiana faced a challenging match against Minnesota, who came into the game on Sunday with the top record in the
Western Conference. However, the Fever pulled off an outstanding win to extend their winning streak to two games.
Monika Czinano, Clark’s former teammate from the Iowa Hawkeyes, was a special guest at the game. After posting a
photo of herself and Czinano to her Instagram story, Clark jokedly asked Kate Martin, their former teammate,
whether she was envious in three words:
As their friendship has endured since they each started their own WNBA careers, Clark and Martin are the best of
friends. On Sunday afternoon, the Aces also played; they won over the Washington Mystics. Martin scored three
points in his meager nine minutes of action.
Since the two former Iowa standouts have remained close after being chosen in the 2024 WNBA Draft, WNBA fans
have fallen in love with Martin and Clark’s bond.
Clark questioned her whether she was jealous that Czinano pulled up to the Fever vs. Lynx game when she was
having a good time with her old teammate. After Indiana overcame an eight-point Minnesota deficit to win two
straight, Clark and Czinano were able to share a Fever triumph.
