Sky: ‘Concrete talks’ – Abraham still in contention for Milan after Morata capture
Whilst AC Milan had clarity over their first-
choice striker this summer, they now face a
decision about his deputy, and a report from
Germany suggests that talks are in place with
Tammy Abraham. Alvaro Morata was the clear
winner after Joshua Zirkzee, despite some
Sports implying otherwise. Given that the
Dutchman and the Spaniard have different
football and age profiles, there are concerns
regarding the switch, but Milan made their
decision with confidence. However, it continues
on the front line after that. Rather, the idea is to
include another striker in the mix, and with
Tammy Abraham and Niclas Fullkrug
dominating the race, speculation over who that
might be is growing. The German striker has
reportedly been the Rossoneri’s preferred player,
but a report from Sky Germany (via Milan News)
may have refuted those reports. According to the
German branch, Abraham has “many options.”
Nonetheless, the parties have held their “first,
concrete” discussions, and most significantly,
they are still continuing on. Which option will be
chosen is still to be determined, but considering
that player exchanges could reduce the cost of
the Abraham operation, it might be a better
value.
