Caitlin Clark, a rookie with the Indiana Fever, is making history on WNBA courts by living up to the hype. Clark had
the most assists ever by a single player in a WNBA game with 19, which came in a 101-93 loss to the Dallas Wings.
Courtney Vandersloot set the previous record on August 31, 2020, when she dished out 18 assists to help Chicago
Sky defeat Fever 100-77. Clark smashed that mark.
“My goal is to facilitate my teammates’ success,” Clark remarked following the match. “I feel like I can almost pass at
times. I just want to put Aliyah Boston [AB] in the best possible light, especially. I simply can’t take my eyes off of our
post players.Clark not only had 19 assists but also finished with 24 points and 6 rebounds. She recorded the most
points by a player in a single WNBA game with 66 points from either scoring or dishing out assists. The prior record
of 65 points was achieved in 2006 by Diana Taurasi.
Clark is currently averaging 17.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 8.2 assists per game while being named an All-Star.
