After having trouble with the passing game in 2023, the New York Giants are hoping for a stronger passing offense
this year. Last season, their passing offense was hindered by injuries to quarterbacks Daniel Jones and Tyrod Taylor,
problems with their offensive line, and a deficiency of wide receiver depth.
With Jones back to full health, Malik Nabers selected in the first round, Darius Slayton starting his contract year,
and their starting slot receiver looking to continue where he left off, the Giants should have a stronger passing attack
in 2024.
The New York Giants’ second-round pick is coming off a solid 2023 campaign
Wan’Dale Robinson missed the majority of training camp and the first two games of his second season after being
limited to just six games and rupturing his ACL in Week 11 of his rookie year. Upon his comeback, he was Parris
Campbell’s backup slot receiver in Week 3. But Robinson soon assumed slot duty as Campbell’s position dwindled,
and he rested as a healthy scratch for their final five games.
Robinson caught 60 passes on 78 targets for 525 yards and one touchdown at the end of his sophomore campaign.
Among the team, he placed first in receptions, second in targets, and third in yards.
According to John Fennelly of the Giants Wire, Robinson remarked, “It’s completely night and day.” Around this
time last year, I was hardly sprinting and wasn’t running routes. It’s like night and day to come out here and be able
to go for a full practice without worrying about my knee.
“I feel like I’ve completely returned to who I am. It was a huge deal to me to be able to go back home and accomplish
all I could ask for and reconnect with myself after having a complete offseason to exercise and not have to rehab.
