The Kentucky Wildcats are in the thick of recruiting for the class of 2025. Mark Pope and his staff hope to build a solid class in their first full cycle in Lexington.

Earlier today, the Cats made the cut for 5-star guard Jasper Johnson as he trimmed his list down to five schools. Now, they have also made the cut for another top prospect on their big board.

According to Joe Tipton of On3, 5-star forward Tounde Yessoufou has trimmed his list down to 10 schools, with Kentucky making the cut. Alongside the Cats are UCONN, Kansas, Baylor, Arizona, USC, Tennessee, Washington, Arizona State, and UCLA.

Yessoufou, a 6-foot-5 and 211-pound forward out of California, is a familiar name to the BBN at this point of the cycle despite picking up the official offer from the Cats yesterday afternoon.

It has already been reported that UK will also receive his last official visit, so one would have to like the Cats’ chances to land the talented forward at this point.

This recruitment is far from over, and the staff will have to fight some serious competition to win this commitment, but this is another good step towards that goal.
