Tyler Smith responds in 4-words to the unexpected performance of the Cowboys rookie
He’s about to leave a really big first impression.
Many of the league’s rookies will be able to
contribute right away to their teams.
Nonetheless, a few will become celebrities, and
the followers of their franchise will adore them.
That might be Tyler Guyton of the 2024 NFL
Draft class for the Dallas Cowboys, led by Mike
McCarthy. His time playing football for TCU and
Oklahoma is proof positive that he already
knows how to win. Tyler Smith observed
precisely that. The Cowboys are in a win-now
situation. Mike McCarthy is just awaiting the
contract extensions of key guys like Micah
Parsons and Dak Prescott before they start
setting out loftier goals. This squad already got
off to a hot start last year and hopes to create
momentum that carries into the postseason in
their coming campaign. Tyler Guyton will be a
big part of the Cowboys’ pursuit to reach that
goal and he is already showing why. Tyler Smith
outlined how great their rookie out of the 2024
NFL Draft already is, via Nick Harris of the
Cowboys. “I’ve been genuinely impressed,” he
remarked of the former football player for
Oklahoma and TCU. Smith’s story did not finish
there. He continued to explain why this
monstrosity, who had previously worn the
Sooners’ clothes and the Horned Frogs’ colours,
was already a valuable member of McCarthy’s
team. “You don’t come across people who
measure what they do very often. His height is
6’7”, 330, and he has light feet, so he can move
freely and intimidate guys. The sky is the limit
for him and his progress as he gains confidence
and masters the playbook, among other things. I
will say this about him right away: he exudes
confidence. He is aware of the rarity of the tools
he possesses. It’s just a matter of time before he
solidifies things and gets playing at that true
elite, elite level.” Smith added
Tyler Guyton before getting drafted the Cowboys
Prior to being selected in the NFL Draft, Guyton
required additional college chances to prove
himself. He was once committed to the football
program at TCU. In a two-year period, he would
only appear in nine games, eight of which were
as a sophomore. Due to his lack of playing time,
he decided to join the Oklahoma football team.
He experienced greater success with the Sooners.
He played two positions with Oklahoma. Tackle
was where he thrived in 2023 and then he
eventually moved on to play as an offensive
lineman during his final year. This great show of
versatility in the trenches was what prompted
the Cowboys to acquire him. Above all, it was the
fact that he seldom looked tired and that also
showed. The team’s medics then wheeled
Williams off to be assessed. Although it’s unclear
exactly what kind of ailment he has, the Cowboys
won’t have him on their team for the next three
weeks. The only thing supporters can do is hope
and pray that his injury does not change the
course of his career.
