John Fleck talks out about his heartbreaking departure from the team he absolutely loves and harbours fantasies of a Rangers transfer comeback.
John Fleck has disclosed that while his heart still
belongs to his boyhood team, he has dreams of
playing for the Rangers again. Following a stint
at Blackburn Rovers last season, Mailsport
disclosed last week that the former Light Blues
wonderkid is back at Auchenhowie, where he is
regaining his fitness. The 32-year-old
acknowledges that he has enjoyed being around
well-known people at the training facility while
he chooses his future move after spending eight
years as a standout player in England’s top
division with Sheffield United. Before moving
south, Fleck acquired wonderkid fame as a
teenager at the Ibrox club, where he still has
training facilities. While weighing his options,
Fleck says he would want to be a part of Philippe
Clement’s Rangers redevelopment. “Do I,” he
asked I have unfinished business with the club?
That’s not for me to say. My aim now is carve out
something special in my career and there are
options, I have offers in Europe and England and
I now need to find the right club to kick things
on.
