Legendary Razorback Segment at the Most Recent Hogs’ Commitment Announcement

Kolby Smith, the new running backs coach, had to begin recruiting behind the eight ball after his predecessor quit during the first spring practice session. But he didn’t lose any time in establishing connections with elite prospects right away, and before long, he had many gifted tailbacks in Fayetteville on visits.

Cameron Settles, a running back, turned down offers from Yale, Coastal Carolina, Oregon State, SMU, Memphis, and Arkansas State in favor of Arkansas. He’s a strong young man, 5 feet 10 inches and 195 pounds, with the ability to power clean 315 pounds and squat 500.

He made his Razorbacks pledge in front of the Parkview High School crowd. He threw a couple footballs into the crowd bearing the logos of the teams Memphis, Missouri, Yale, and Arkansas.

One ball bearing the Hogs’ insignia was given back to him as he surveyed the throng. A video featuring former Razorbacks great Darren McFadden praising Settles for his devotion was shown on the screen after he made his pledge.

As a junior for the Patriots, who won the 5A state championship, Settles had 96 carries for 979 yards and 20 touchdowns, demonstrating his explosive athleticism and ability to gain significant yardage quickly. Settles contributed 33 tackles, 10 pass breakups, and 2 interceptions to his defensive game. But his future is expected to be as a running

Parkview has historically sent its athletes to the collegiate level with three of its 2025 prospects in safety Omarion Robinson (Oklahoma) and running back Monterrio Elston (Kansas State) already committed. Athlete Quinten Murphy committed to Arkansas earlier this summer.
