Chicago Cubs vs. Toronto Blue Jays preview, Friday 8/16, 1:20 CT

BLOWN LEADS: In Cleveland this week, the Cubs lost three games despite blowing leads. Earlier in the season, they had lost three straight games when they had leads. They won the third game on two occasions after losing the first two. They won the opening game, lost the second, and won the third both times. From June 26 to 30, they had a five-game losing and winning skid during which they gave up early leads in each game. (Source: JohnW53 of BCB)

O CANADA: This weekend at Wrigley Field, the country’s anthem will be played for the first time in seven years. That song was performed several times a year at Wrigley Field during the long period the Montreal Expos were a member of the National League. However, those clubs never played at Wrigley in the same season because the Expos relocated to Washington after 2004, and the Blue Jays made their first trip there in 2005. Consequently, there have been nine performances of the Canadian anthem at Wrigley Field in any given season.
