PHILADELPHIA Phillies announcer John Kruk got clowned for a remark he made before a moment during an MLB game.

The live TV sequence occurred in the 10th inning of the Phillies-Cincinnati Reds game on Monday night.

The bases were loaded with Reds players in the 10th inning.

Cincinnati’s third baseman Spencer Steer was up to the plate with no outs.

The 26-year-old entered the at-bat without a grand slam in his career.

Steer faced Phillies reliever Connor Brogdon as the count went to 2-0.

Philadelphia broadcaster Kruk then revealed the factoid about Steer’s history with the bases loaded, but also shared his preference for the situation’s outcome.

“No grand slams for Spencer Steer, let’s hope that continues,” Kruk said.

Two pitches later, Steer walloped the pitch to the stands in left field for a grand slam.

“The 2-1, fly ball, left field, pretty well hit, [Whit] Merrifield going back, it is … gone. A grand slam for Spencer Steer,'” Phillies play-by-play man Tom McCarthy said on the call of Steer’s grand slam.

“And the Reds have busted it open in the 10th, they’re on top, 6-2.”

Steer hit the ball 383 feet for a home run which was his first of the season.

The Reds would go on to win 6-3 as they gave the Phillies their third loss in four games.

MLB fans were still in hysterics over Kruk’s comments before Steer’s four-bagger.

One said, “The most hilarious jinx ever.”

Another commented, “Ultimate jinx.”

While a third added, “I mean he was asking for it.”

Brogdon had walked two batters to load the bases with no outs before his fastball was sent to the bleachers.

On Wednesday, Brogdon was designated for assignment.

He allowed six earned runs in two innings in three games pitched.

The Phillies and Reds will play their second game of the three-game series on Tuesday.
