ESPN Makes ‘College GameDay’ Announcement Following Washington-Indiana Game…

ESPN makes announcement regarding “College GameDay” following Week 9.

ESPN’s “College GameDay” recently had an epic showing in Bloomington, Indiana, for a Week 9 matchup between the Washington Huskies and the Indiana Hoosiers, marking only the second time the show has broadcasted from Indiana University. This event held special significance for legendary figure Lee Corso, who coached the Hoosiers from 1973 to 1982.

As the third-winningest coach in Indiana history, Corso was honored throughout the day with memorable moments that captivated college football fans tuning in to the show.

The panel, consisting of Rece Davis, Desmond Howard, Nick Saban, Pat McAfee, Lee Corso, and Kirk Herbstreit, has achieved remarkable success this season, and “College GameDay” is thriving as Week 10 approaches.

In Week 9, the show averaged 2.0 million viewers, with an impressive 2.6 million tuning in during the final hour. Over the first nine weeks, viewership is up 41% compared to 2023, putting the show on track for its best season ever.

The crew welcomed MLB star and Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Kyle Schwarber as the celebrity guest picker, who joined Corso while decked out in Indiana gear.

Week 10 promises to be even more exciting, as the show heads to Happy Valley for a massive Big Ten showdown between the No. 3 Penn State Nittany Lions and the No. 4 Ohio State Buckeyes, featuring significant implications for both the Big Ten and the College Football Playoffs.

This will mark the 13th time that “College GameDay” has attended an Ohio State-Penn State matchup, the most for any rivalry in the show’s history.
