The Indiana Hoosiers are the 13th-ranked team in the country entering this weekend’s matchup on the road against the Michigan State Spartans. Indiana has yet to lose a game this season and they are looking to keep that alive against Michigan State.
Last weekend, they did not have quarterback Kurtis Rourke due to a thumb injury. Can Rourke be back this weekend on the road against the Spartans?
On Thursday, Hoosiers head coach Curt Cignetti announced that quarterback Kurtis Rourke will be back this weekend against the Michigan State Spartans. Rourke only missed one game with the thumb injury and this is great news for the program.
It appeared as if he was going to miss more time with the thumb injury, but it is good that he didn’t. This season with Indiana, he has completed 74.6% of his passes for 1,941 yards, 15 touchdowns and three interceptions.
Rourke has been one of the best quarterbacks in the BIG10 Conference this season. Last weekend, Tayven Jackson started last week for the Indiana Hoosiers.
Huge for Indiana
Allows Rourke to work out any potential rust and make sure he’s running the offense the way he has been before the rest of the big games of the Hoosiers’ schedule
Rourke coming back this weekend is all in preparation for the November 23 road matchup against the Ohio State Buckeyes. The Indiana Hoosiers better hope that they didn’t bring him back too soon for this matchup against the Michigan State Spartans which is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m. ET. Indiana is on track to potentially make the college football playoffs this season.
