Michigan has been undergoing a roller coaster ride this season. As Sherrone Moore has put his philosophy to learn from his mistakes right on the spot and capped off his season on a high note with a massive ReliaQuest Bowl win over Alabama, the Wolves are already signing up for a new season. The transfer portal is blazing with the new faces led by the man of the hour, Bryce Underwood. Moore broke his back and rebuilt it stronger in the overwhelming back and forth of taking Underwood in from LSU. But Karma hit hard when he lost two of his impact QBs, Jayden Denegal and Alex Orji, to the portal.
Alex Orji, who graced the starting gig after Davis Warren failed to get the job done during a game against Alabama, continued to play for the team till the bowl, but an insider found an ideal home for him to lock in.
After mounting a mediocre season (8-4), including a 6-3 record in the Big 12 play, TCU Horned Frogs are shifting their focus to the portal like every other team does. But the QB they have their eyes on is indeed special in terms of game plays, athletic excellence, decision-making, and so on. Orji, 21, is juggling between the programs right now. “I saw my friend Jeffrey Craig tweet about this. My friend Jeffrey Craig, program director at KTCCU, mentioned when Alex Orji hit the transfer portal. Alex is a quarterback at Michigan. He’s from the DFW area, originally he is from Sachse, Texas. He played his high school ball in a couple of different places. He played at Rock Wall, he played at Sachse, he played Dallas Bishop, but he’s been committed to Michigan and has been a player there for a few years. This past season, he started three games, he hit the transfer portal he’s looking for a new home,” said Simcox.
