McVey on his commitment to UGA

Jackson McVey went to talk to On3 about his choice.

In contrast to other outstanding programs that already had a player like me, UGA demonstrated their desire for me throughout the recruitment process, which is why I selected them. Together with two bigs, Asa (Newell) and Somto (Cyril) adopted a new offense that they intend to use the following season, and I adore it. Their offense is inside out and versatile enough to showcase my skills. It was an easy decision because of all of these factors as well as the opportunity to represent my home state and develop in front of my loved ones.

“I appreciate Coach White’s honesty and consistency throughout the process. Regardless of tales, I adore his competitive structure, which rewards people that contribute the most to his program. All of his employees, including the weight coach, have been incredibly cordial. It seemed like family because even the AD of Georgia has been in touch with me, which I hadn’t experienced anywhere else.

In his own words, what type of player is UGA getting in Jackson McVey?

“I would say I’m a new-gen versatile big, who has a defensive presence in the paint and I can definitely stretch the floor, post up and drive on offense. I think with the right development with my size and base skills I have a high ceiling if I keep working. I also think I move well, have good footwork, hands and passing for someone of my size.”

He has a message for Georgia fans.

“I want UGA fans to know that I’m here to do nothing but win the next few years and hopefully spark the beginning of a new era for Georgia with my class of commits. I want to work and do everything I can for the success of the program.”
