Former Lakers Champion-Turned-Assistant Coach Throws Shade at JJ Redick Hire

This offseason, the Los Angeles Lakers created waves by appointing veteran NBA guard JJ Redick as their new head coach. Redick didn’t have any experience, but the Lakers thought he was the right guy to take over the position.

Since the hiring was revealed, there has been a lot of excitement, with Redick being hailed as a basketball genius. However, some people are against Redick’s hire, and one former Lakers champion appeared to criticize the new coach.

Redick’s move to take the head coaching position ahead of Dudley probably made him feel a certain way because he hasn’t been bashful about his ambition to be one.

Although it initially appeared as though Dudley was criticizing Redick, he later backtracked on his social media remarks. Dudley appears to have misunderstood everything, and he is in favor of Redick being hired.

“My guy is JJ!” Fantastic chance for him! Along with Jkidd, Steve Kerr and my boy Steve Nash also succeeded! Extremely unique chance! former participants! You have to adore it!”

Dudley’s time will come to become a head coach but for now, he is working to help the Mavericks get back to the NBA Finals. Redick’s journey is beginning soon and he has all the pressure on him to succeed right away.
