Bayern Munich puts all their eggs in the Désiré Doué basket amid ongoing battle with PSG

Bayern Munich’s ongoing battle to reinforce its attacking lineup continues as full focus has turned to recruiting Stade Rennais player Désiré Doué. Alternatives for the position included Paris Saint Germain’s Xavi Simons and Lawn ballsport Leipzig’s Dani Olmo, but it seems that Leipzig have fully overtaken Bayern in the race for Simons while Olmo is being courted by a different club now. Ergo, as Kerry Hau reports, Bayern’s full focus is on the 19-year-old Doué:

FC Bayern is fully focused on Désiré Doué and is in a close head-to-head race with PSG. Nothing has been decided yet. However, the French top talent was shown a clear, appreciative plan and his feedback was positive. After Xavi Simons, Dani Olmo is also in danger of being dropped as an alternative. The Spanish European champion is clearly leaning towards FC Barcelona. However, Leipzig rejected Barça’s first offer for Olmo.

Given that Paris Saint Germain are also in the running for Doué, though, and reportedly even willing to exceed Bayern’s current bid for the youngster, it is far from certain that even this deal will happen. If all three players choose to move to a different club, then what will Bayern’s next move be?
