Florida State head coach Mike Norvell issued a heartfelt apology to Seminoles fans following the team’s disappointing 0-2 start to the season after a tough loss to Boston College.
The defeat, a 30-27 setback in a game that saw the Seminoles’ hopes of a comeback dashed, has left the team and its supporters reeling.
Norvell, who has been under significant pressure to turn the program around, expressed deep regret for the current state of affairs. In a statement, he said, “I want to sincerely apologize to our fans.
I understand their frustration and disappointment. This is not where we expected to be, and we are fully aware of the responsibility we have to each and every one of them.”
He went on to acknowledge that the team’s performance has fallen short of expectations. “We have not played up to the standard we set for ourselves,” Norvell admitted. “We have let down our supporters, and for that, I am truly sorry.”
The loss to Boston College showcased several issues for the Seminoles, including struggles on both sides of the ball. Despite showing moments of potential, the team failed to execute consistently, leading to their second consecutive loss of the season.
