Nebraska lands 2026 amazing defensive back commitment from CJ Bronaugh….

The Nebraska Cornhuskers picked up their third commitment of the 2026 class on Tuesday as Windermere High School defensive back CJ Bronaugh announced his commitment on Instagram.

The 6-foot-1, 166-pound defender currently holds six other offers besides Nebraska including Baylor, Florida State, Minnesota, Syracuse among others.

Windermere Wolverines coach Riki Smith sees a lot of strong traits in his junior defender already.

“I was really impressed with how CJ was able to mentally lock in every game he participated in this year,” he said. “He had a natural laser focus on his responsibilities.”

Bronaugh finished with six interceptions, three returned for touchdowns, playing in just seven games as a junior.

The defender visited for the UCLA game earlier in November and shut down his recruitment despite a recent offer from the Wisconsin Badgers.

It’s the third commitment for Nebraska in the 2026 class as he joins quarterback Dayton Raiola and athlete Dveyoun Bonwell-Witte as the early members of the next recruiting cycle.
