The Kentucky football program is gearing up for the 2025 offseason, with key dates marking the road to next season’s roster. As part of the typical offseason cycle, the Wildcats will be heavily involved in the transfer portal and recruiting efforts, as they build for the 2025 season.

Transfer Portal: The NCAA transfer portal will be open for two windows during the offseason. The first, after the conclusion of the regular season, runs from December 4 to January 18. This window allows players from across the country to explore new opportunities for the upcoming season. The second portal window opens in late May (May 1-15), typically after spring practices, offering a final chance for players to transfer before the season begins.

National Signing Day: Kentucky football will focus on securing new talent on National Signing Day, which takes place on February 5, 2025. This is the first day high school seniors can sign their National Letters of Intent to join the Wildcats. The early signing period, which runs from December 18-20, 2024, will likely see Kentucky land the majority of their 2025 recruiting class, as many prospects sign early to solidify their commitments.

Spring Practices: Kentucky’s spring football practices will likely begin in early March, with the annual Spring Game set for mid-April. This event is a key opportunity for fans to see the Wildcats in action and for coaching staff to assess the development of players heading into the summer.

As Coach Mark Stoops prepares his team for 2025, the Wildcats’ offseason will be a time of player evaluation, roster changes, and securing future talent through the portal and recruiting. Fans can expect a busy and important period as Kentucky looks to remain competitive in the SEC.
