COLUMBUS, Ohio — Another former member of the Ohio State football team has found a new home, taking him out of the Big Ten.

Gabe Powers was the first player the Buckeyes lost to the transfer portal this winter doing so after spending three seasons stuck in a reserve linebacker role. In three seasons, Powers played 50 snaps, recording 24 tackles, a pass breakup and a pick-six. Even though he never carved out a role on defense, his presence is missed on special teams after deciding he wouldn’t remain with the team despite entering the portal

Now the former four-star recruit is headed to Kansas State as he heads to the Big 12 with two years of eligibility left.
