The parents of UGA football player Devin Willock have filed a new lawsuit nearly two years after their son tragically died in a car crash involving a school vehicle.
The accident occurred on January 25, 2023, when Willock, along with Chandler LeCroy, a recruiting analyst, lost their lives. The crash was caused by a street race between LeCroy and UGA defensive tackle Jalen Carter.
LeCroy also succumbed to her injuries. The $2 million lawsuit, filed against the University System of Georgia’s Board of Regents, claims that the board’s employees were negligent in providing Chandler LeCroy with a leased UGA Athletic Association vehicle, despite her history of reckless driving, which included receiving a super-speeder ticket in Morgan County.
