Steven Lorentz, 28, has secured a one-year deal worth $775,000 with the Maple Leafs. In the previous season, he played 38 games for the Florida Panthers, recording one goal and two assists. Lorentz was instrumental in the Panthers’ Stanley Cup victory, contributing two goals and one assist in 16 playoff games. Standing at 6’4″ and weighing 216 pounds, Lorentz is known for his physical play and defensive reliability. Over his NHL career, he has accumulated 21 goals and 22 assists in 230 regular-season games, along with six points in 32 playoff appearances. Drafted 186th overall by the Carolina Hurricanes in 2015, Lorentz adds depth and grit to Toronto’s forward lines.
