Good Sign: Duke Basketball Target Cancels Visit Elsewhere

Highland School (Va.) forward Nate Ament has been a target for Duke basketball’s 2025 recruiting class for about 18 months.

The 6-foot-9, 185-pound five-star prospect has visited Duke multiple times, most recently for an official visit over the weekend.

His trip coincided with the Blue Devils’ dominant victory over their biggest rival, North Carolina.

According to On3’s Joe Tipton, Nate Ament has canceled his last scheduled visit, which was set for Feb. 11 at Kansas State, where he planned to watch the Wildcats face Arizona.

Considering his earlier plan to finalize his recruitment by February or March, the timing of this decision hints that a commitment announcement could be approaching.

Additionally, the news comes shortly after Ament shared photos from his Duke visit on social media, adding to the speculation.

Just days before his visit to Durham, Nate Ament traveled to Knoxville to watch Tennessee take on Kentucky.

His list of top 11 schools includes Duke, Tennessee, Kentucky, Kansas State, Georgetown, Louisville, Arkansas, Notre Dame, Texas, BYU, and Alabama.
