The recruitment of Caleb Wilson has been exciting, to say the least. He has scheduled visits and canceled visits, come to Kentucky for an official, and shown up at the neutral site game against Duke in Atlanta. Mark Pope and his staff seem to be doing a full-court press for Wilson as one of the final pieces of their 2025 recruiting class.

The latest saga in Caleb Wilson’s recruitment is his weird relationship with his Arkansas visit. He had scheduled a visit a couple of weeks ago, but then he rescheduled it because of a “scrimmage.” He then put it for this weekend, but now, according to national analyst Travis Branham of 24/7 Sports, he has canceled it. Here’s the kicker: There are no plans to reschedule it.

While Wilson had no plans to be an early signer, he does want to cut down his list of schools in the next couple of weeks, according to Paul Biancardi. He currently has 12 still on the public list: Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Duke, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio State, Oregon, Tennessee, UCF, and USC. He has only visited some of those: Ohio State, Kentucky, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, North Carolina, and UCF.

This is big news for Big Blue Nation and the Kentucky men’s basketball team because many national reporters and recruiting specialists have thought he was leaning toward being a Wildcat, with Arkansas and North Carolina heavily in the mix. This could narrow it down to Kentucky and North Carolina, with recent public interest leaning towards Kentucky.
