Recruits react to their time in Athens at Georgia’s 2nd Junior Day

Starting Monday, February 3, the college football world will enter a recruiting dead period, during which recruits will not be able to visit schools for about a month.

While these dead periods are never ideal, it is crucial for Georgia football to maximize its efforts in hosting recruits while visits are still permitted.

Georgia previously held a Junior Day earlier in January, but head coach Kirby Smart and his staff opted to organize one more before the recruiting dead period begins. This final Junior Day was held on February 1 and, by all accounts, was just as successful as the first.

While insights from recruiting experts are valuable, it’s even more exciting to hear directly from the recruits.

Fortunately, many of them took to social media to express their enthusiasm and share how much they enjoyed their visit to Athens.

In the coming days, we’ll get a clearer picture of how successful these visits were.

While there’s always a chance Georgia could secure a commitment or two, there’s no reason for concern if that doesn’t happen.

What matters most is that Georgia strengthens its position with the recruits who visited Athens.

Aside from an actual commitment, the next best outcome would be receiving official predictions favoring Georgia to land some of these prospects.

This was the case following the first Junior Day in mid-January, so the hope is that Smart and his staff had another strong event and received similarly positive feedback this time around.
