Matt Rhule and the Nebraska Cornhuskers have landed Notre Dame offensive lineman transfer Rocco Spindler. The landed his

teammate Pat Coogan who was also in the transfer portal but Curt Cignetti and company could not strike gold again, inThe 6-foot-5, 325-pound offensive lineman started 23 games at right guard for the Fighting Irish in the last two seasons playing a total of 1,325 snaps.

Spindler a Clarkston, Michigan native along side his Indiana offer also had offers from Michigan, Michigan State, Pittsburgh and Virginia. Rocco Spindler’s father, Marc, is a former NFL player who played for the Detroit Lions and also attended Pittsburgh, who was looked at as the favorite to land Rocco but Nebraska won the battle at the end of the day.

Spindler has ones season of eligibility remaining after spending four at Notre Dame in South Bend.
