In the Seattle Seahawks’ recent matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers, several players were notably quiet despite their significant snap counts. While the team’s offensive and defensive efforts were under scrutiny, three players, in particular, stood out for their lack of impact.
1. Charles Cross – The second-year left tackle, who had been a reliable presence on the line, seemed to struggle against the Chargers’ pass rush. Despite playing almost every offensive snap, Cross failed to make a significant impact in protecting quarterback Geno Smith. 3. Dee Eskridge – The wide receiver, who has been trying to establish himself as a key offensive weapon, had a minimal impact despite his considerable playing time. Eskridge struggled to create separation from defenders and was largely absent in the passing game. His limited involvement was a missed opportunity for the Seahawks, who were hoping he could provide a spark in their receiving corps.
These players’ quiet performances were noticeable given their snap counts and expectations. Moving forward, the Seahawks will need these key contributors to step up and make more impactful plays to ensure a balanced and effective team performance.
