‘No place I would rather be’: Alabama OT commit Jackson Lloyd signing next week, other schools still trying….
Bama247 caught up with the Carmel (Calif.) standout for a very positive recruiting update despite another west coast school’s relentless pursuit down the stretch
Carmel (Calif.) Jackson Lloyd was one of the first recruits on campus after Kalen DeBoer was named Alabama head coach in January. Fast forward nearly 10 months and the four-star offensive tackle is just five days from making it official.
The 6-foot-7, 290-pounder committed to the Crimson Tide in June over USC, Ohio State and others just two days after an official visit to Tuscaloosa. He told Bama247 earlier this fall that the decision was “100% the right call” and has described the new staff being in Tuscaloosa as the “best of both worlds” and has talked about how he “couldn’t think of a better fit” for his future. Lloyd also said “I believe in (DeBoer) 100%,” on November 1.
Are all of those things holding true with under a week to go until the Early Signing Period? Bama247 checked in with Lloyd for an update!
